How can I call Bangladesh?

him7403

I want to use cell to call my home country Bangladesh.

I don't see it in the long distance call list.

If I add credit, will I be able to call pay per usage?

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Riasat

The new holiday international free 500 min can be used to make phone calls to Bangladesh. I tried from mine and it worked.

There are various VoIP solutions using a softphone or a different dialler. Many people recommend them (and will recommend them in this thread 🙂 but I find them frustrating myself. What I use (not for Bangladesh, though) is a virtual calling card called OneSuite, which lets you call a local access number in Canada and then dial the number in Bangladesh. The main benefit over buying an actual calling card, is that you can register your number with them and it will use caller ID so

you don't have to dial a PIN.

In terms of cost, I don't know how this compares to calling cards or other solutions, but OneSuite's rate to Bangladesh is U$0.31/min (U$0.28 to Dhaka) or U$0.37/min to mobile. That sounds expensive. By comparison, voip.ms (which would require WiFi or data, and a softphone app) is 8-10c/min and 10-12c/min to mobile.

@him7403, the international long distance only covers a select list of countries as you have already found out.  You will have to resort to a different service if the country you wish to call is not on the list.

If you do not see it on the list of countries you will not be able to call it using the PM network.  There is no pay per usage either.
