Why do I have to contact public mobile to be able to use a personal hotspot on my phone, when I used an eSIM I didn’t have any problem using one and now that I have a physical SIM card it won’t let me it says contact public mobile, I always find my data is so slow compared to bell

@Meow I understand why OP asked, some providers block the use of hotspot, so it might not really be just device problem with other providers

Android or iPhone?
if you have an iPhone, APN for hotspot should be just sp.mb.com (Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular Data Network -> Personal hotspot )

you don't have to contact support for hotspot, it is never blocked
so, it is just a device setup problem. Please with reboot the phone, then Reset network settings
also, make sure you have the latest OS (or on iPhone, iOS update and Carrier Profile update
