@alek Public Mobile recommends to take the following steps if you need to port-in a number:
Landline Phone Number Transfer | |
| Complete billing address |
| Alternate phone number |
| First and last name of the account holder |

Yes, you can port your Shaw landline to any provider you like.
I ported my Shaw landline number to freephoneline.ca which is a VoIP landline service. It took about 5 days.
Just make sure that your Shaw landline number is active while they are porting your Shaw number to PM. You incoming calls will continue to go to Shaw landline phone until Shaw releases your number to PM.
Shaw will cancel your home phone service on the day which your number was released to PM. Since Shaw landline is a postpaid service, your next Shaw statement will be prorated with the refund of the unused days after your number was ported out.
Have a better and better days.

@alek Yes it's allowed. My landline transfer took 2 weeks. You can keep using it until service stops. Texting, data, and outgoing calls will work on your cell during that period.

Keep your Shaw account active to port the number. Landlines could take up to 7 business days for the port to complete.
Don't forget to use a referral code for a $10 signup bonus.

@alek hello yes you can transfer a landline just keep in mind it can take 3 to 5 days for completion of port You will be able to call out and send texts using your PM sim. Your data will also work without issues. Incoming calls will still go to the landline provider until they release the number to PM.
