Hearing voice message using another phone

Hi, could someone please let me know how to hear the voice messages from another phone.  I have PM phone if someone leaves messages on that, can I use my another cellphone to listen voice messages.

Further to @computergeek541 reply, you'll need to know your voicemail password using this method. 

It's a good method to use when one is on the $15 plan with limited outgoing minutes.

This can be done by calling your cell phone number (but don't answer the call).  When the voicemail system answers, press the * key.
