@1420 - Try AT&T OR T-Mobile and put it to LTE / 4G instead of 5G. That may fix that. If nothing put it on T-Mobile and manually chose 2G / EDGE / GSM.

If not, do a network reset though you will lose all of your saved Wi-Fi networks.

@1420  Set phone to 4G/LTE not 5G and connect to T Mobile or AT&T . Also ensure you have data roaming turned in in phone settings

I am from Canada and now in the usa and can't seem to get the roaming on voice, data and wifi working for google maps and more

I have roaming package for the above  my wifi is off, cell data is on and roaming is on network selection is t-mobile. whats happening

@1420

do a test to see if you have a volte enabled cellphone. Turn OFF your wifi, then dial a local number. Does the call drop to 3G or stay on LTE ? If it stays on LTE, you're good. For a 4 day trip to US, just get a 15 Day US Roaming add-on. If you don't have a volte enabled phone...best to just use TextNow which uses your local wifi.

@1420  For just talk and text, no data, you could get the $15 US roaming add-on if it is important to be able to use your current phone number.  But you also need to have a VoLTE enabled/capable phone for voice calls in the USA as there is no more 3G there.  If your phone is not VoLTE enabled then you would have to use T-Mobile's 2G network for voice calls which is spotty.

@1420

for calling, I would recommend using available Wi-Fi zones and use a calling app.

purchasing an add-on would be for 15 days and you only need four days so it’s kind of not worth it
