@Michael77 - I think it's very much YMMV on how much the Freedom network has improved, on the 3G side.  Still loads of people complaining about how crap their 3G network is (which still matters, for calls and texts) around the GTA, for example.

Freedom network has improved a lot.  The LTE is very good.  They still have issues in some areas but the $50 plan has roaming.  You roam on the Roger's network and AT&T in the US. The plan covers you 1gig, 2400 minutes and unlimited text messaging.

At the time I left, Freedom/Wind was not worth $25 for 5 gigs.  I doubt a lot has change this year other than prices went up.  This is the Freedom that I have come to know and loath after supporting them for more than 4 years.
