I’m getting parking charges in Vancouver on my credit card labelled public mobile? I don’t live in Vancouver. Any thoughts other than calling credit card which I’m obviously going to do.

Assuming you are a PM customer, do the credit cards charges coincide with your Public Mobile transactions that you see in My Account? Keep mind the CC numbers will show taxes and your PM numbers will show without tax.

HI @EirikTheRed Probably not 🙂
I think some data input person selected the wrong category when PM first setup the account with MC/Visa

I wonder if the Vancouver Company has the same name? Let us know what you find out!

Very good point, it will cause huge headaches going forward for your self serve and payments. Sound alike you are on autopay. Keep in mind it is 30 day cycles and not same day every month.

@IamtheOgre DO NOT ask the bank to reverse those charges!!
If you still not certain the charges, check with PM Support first. If you reversed a legitimate charge, PM would suspend your account immediately and top your service. It will be a long nightmare to sort it out if that is the case.
So, if you are unsure, open ticket with PM Support first and work with them.

This has been brought up previously in the community.

Thanks! I am a customer. I had thought the same but some of the dates didn’t seem like they matched my billing cycle. I’ll dig into this more though! Thanks for the reply

Are you a Public Mobile customer? If not, call your credit card compnay and file a chargeback as someone is using your card. The parking garage identification is a miscategorization of the of the type of company that Public Mobiel is. As for your credit card statement showing Vancouver, all Public Mobile account payment charges show as being from Vancouver as this is where the company is based out of.

Do you have a Public account? Are the amounts correct for paying your renewal? I think the bank thinks the charging party is a parking garage.
