Oh bummer @Kimbolu .  Prepaid here means no prorating on your current plan when changing plans before the 30 days is up.

Well, now you know for next time if you want to change plans ahead of the regular scheduled plan renewal date.

Did you do the plan change in the app or on My Account on a web-based site? I wonder if there are similar warning in both areas (there really should be)?

You will have seen red warnings warning you of the fact that changing to a plan before renewal will happen now and that there would be no pro-rating of the previous plan. Or words to that effect.

@Kimbolu  .I agree . But that’s why it’s advised to change plan for next renewal . So you don’t lose money in your current 30 day or 90 day cycle . So going forward if another plan pops up that you like better . Be sure to just change plan for next renewal and  not immediately to avoid this sorta situation . Or you will be double charged again unfortunately.

I hope they do! I shouldn't be double charged for 2 plans in the same month. 😞

@Kimbolu  Then that’s why . Unfortunately . But no harm in asking support if they can compensate you . No guarantees thou as PM is pre  paid

@Kimbolu

Where you see the double payments?  Were they on the credit card or were they on the Payment History on My Acocunt (https://myaccount.publicmobile.ca/en/account/payment/payment-history ) ?

If you see them on your credit card, check if one of the charge is just a pending charge while only one of them is the posted charge

If they are on Payment history on My Account,  please note that each renewal will show at least two transactions on payment history on My account.  Only one entry shows actual PM charge, show how much PM charged your card and applied the amount to your Available Fund in My Account.  The other entry, likely couple hours later on the same day, will be showing how PM uses the money from your Available fund in My Account for plan renewal.

Post us a screenshot of you have questions

If you are certain there are more than one posted charges (and not pending) on your credit card and you cannot find where the extra money went, engage support for further investigation by mesasging them here:
