Donating Add On

I have an add on that I no longer need.  Just wondering if I can I transfer it to someone else?

@gail709   That is a great idea to be able to gift your unused add-on but unfortunately Public Mobile does not offer that.  Feel free to suggest it to Public Mobile if you would like.

I second @hTideGnow suggestion and was about to offer same.

Switch down during what might be a low data cycle in the upcoming 30-day period, use the added minutes, then switch back to the $25 plan when they're used.

Be SURE to schedule the plan changes to the next renewal if doing this - not immediate plan changes as you lose what's remaining in the already-paid-for cycle.

I agree with @hTideGnow 's suggestion. Add ons never expire at pm. So just leave it for future use. It will become in handy if after hopefully receiving a fourth annual "More is merrier" campaign data add on gift or knowing you wont need much data for a month or two you can switch back to the $15 plan and save $10 each month that you do so.....then you will have that add on to supplement your outgoing minutes. However it is a nice thought to ask if you could donate it as that would be a nice option for pm customers to be able to help others.

@LeePublic : I agree. We should be able to gift (transfer) add-ons _and_ funds to other accounts. Good luck.

Hi @gail709 ,  if you really cannot donate your unused minutes,  maybe on months that you expect you will be using less data, change back to the $15 plan.  Try to use the minutes up that way.  Yes, there will be difference in data as well on $15, if you still have Holiday Bonus data from previous years,  they will come in handy in this plan.

I think Fizz in Quebec offers this for data where you can gift data to another Fizz customer. I think this feature could be useful for PM. PM, you should take notes!

Early on in the little health matter we have going on someone came in with some dire straits. Someone else offered to help them. I don't recall what came of the offer. I think it was monetary, not features.

I can't say as I've heard of the request before. No reason why you can't run it by the CSA's and see what they might do.

Let us know (unless they make you sign an NDA 🙂 )

Hi @gail709 , you are very generous.  But sorry, PM is not as generous as you are,  they won't allow the add-ons to be transferred

@gail709  - there has been no gifting offered with Public Mobile before, but that would be great.

If you bought it in error recently you could ask CSA to have it credited to your Available Funds area, but otherwise, it will not expire...so, if you ever switch back to the $15 plan, the addon will be there for you. 🙂

EDIT, fixed word

Curious to know which add-on you don't think you need. And was it a gift from here or did you buy it once upon a time.

Sorry you can’t donate your extra Add-ons.

It will remain in your account until it is used up.

That is a great Idea.

But I do not think PM allows that. Of course, it never hurts to ask agent. Maybe they will give you refund!?

I personally would like if I could transfer my minutes (or data, $15 plan) to somebody else.
