Do I need to buy Add-On if I have this plan CAN-US-MEX when I am travelling in US and Mexico?

Hey,

I am planning to go to US and Mexico soon, so I saw the Black Friday deal, so I bought it. The Plan claimed: Unlimited Canada, US and Mexico-wide minutes + 50GB Data within Canada, the US and Mexico at 5G Speed.

As it says "WITHIN", does it mean it is going to roam in the US and Mexico? So I do not need to buy add-on roaming?

Yes that’s exactly the plan I have!

They will text you and ask you if you want an add on ... but i always say no and my phone has worked fine in USA. (Florida, Vegas, Buffalo, Drive from Niagara Falls to Pittsburgh )I ran  a  hot spot for both kids.   I am not a huge "talk on phone"  but imessage/ data worked well.    I just switched to the Canada /USA/ Mexico plan .  for 35$ it works!

Unfortunately, PM does not work in any other country (besides Canada, US and Mexico).  Some banks do offer other options besides 2FA texts.  Ie. TD bank as a TD authorization app.

@eddieO That is one of the options, but I am also thinking of buying an add-on plan from Airalo app to see if I can call/text in Europe. I will test it once I am in Europe.

@TedDu this is true. If you can find out from your bank if they will send verification codes through email, that could be an option. Or, if you end up having to get a temporary number in Europe (for example), maybe you can update you bank account info to forward to the new number?

Thank you. I only concerned about my bank when I am in the Europe. Some Banks only do call/text to verify your identity.

@TedDu Public Mobile will not work outside of Canada/US/Mexico so you would either need to rely on Wifi or get a local SIM card for the region you are in.

No need to purchase any additional add ons. 

It should just start working when you travel to those countries (US and Mexico).
