For the two weeks and a half my service has been dropping calls incoming and outgoing it's actually quite frustrating it's the first time I had this problem took it to an android specialist there is no technical problems on my end so I believe it's only fair that I get some compensation considering I pay monthly and for almost a month my phone do to service was terrible otherwise I think it's best I change providers

Maybe your phone/SIM are dying or losing contacts?

Try to re-seat your SIM, gently clean contacts, blow away potential dust/dirt from SIM slot in the phone...

Check people in vicinity if they have similar issue. Maybe cell tower is acting up.

@Dern1984

Are you in urban or rural location or underground parking?

What is the signal bars on your phone?

@Dern1984

Dropped calls is likely due to a poor connection to the network. Toggling airplane mode on/off (as suggested by @esjliv ) establishes a new connection and should fix the problem.

Hi @Dern1984 , it could be your device or could be the service.   What kind of phone you have?

And try to set to 3G ONLY or WCDMA ONLY on the network type to see if any better.

Also, try your SIM on another phone

I would recommend asking the CSA's to re-provision your existing SIM card/account.   They can do this remotely by placing a service ticket.

If that DOESN'T help, (and a bit of troubleshooting determines it's NOT a device issue - i.e. trying another provider SIM in your device to see if calling issues persist), I'd be firmly/politely requesting that Public Mobile provide you a replacement SIM card to try.  It's easy to change the SIM card and is a self-serve option once you have the SIM in hand.

@Dern1984  - there may be various reasons for service disruption or dropped calls. Try to narrow down if this is a device issue first.

Some network troubleshooting to try:

Try one or more of the below:

*turn off your phone, leave off for a few minutes, then reboot

*removing your SIM, then reinserting it

*go into airplane mode, then going back to regular mode

*reset network settings on your device

*manually select the 3G / WCDMA ONLY network in your Mobile Connections area in your settings (temporarily) for dropping or unable to make incoming/outgoing calls

Can you also try your SIM into another phone and see if the issue persists?

Perhaps there are network upgrades being done in the area. Or you are in a less receptive zone?

Check for outages in your area: https://www.telus.com/en/on/outages

or https://downdetector.ca/status/telus/map/

FYI - I had dropped calls from another provider cell yesterday - five times within one hour. Even after a restart of the phone, it did it one more time.

I think it was network related, as a few hours after it didn't seem to occur.
