Hello,
when I look at my usage and look at date and time, the time when it says a text was sent is 2 hours ahead of the actual time??

I can appreciate that....just wanted you to know the source in case it had been reported. I tried, I really, really tried daily for more than 2 months but I had to draw the line in the sand somewhere.

That GIF is courtesy of one weasel who posted it tagging me after I continued to insist that pm would offer 2gb or 3gb plans if we continued to ask for them.
I don't know the history, I saw the post in the thread and felt it wasn't needed in the thread

@dabr I hope you are right. I have considered splitting my conversation with the other member out of this conversation but I felt it needed the context of what the whole discussion evolved from. I thought my points and advice offered were respectful and I do hope it was taken that way. This member seems to have the time to help out here a lot so I do hope they take the advice and grow as a contributing member here.

....Another member is searching the Community for help on this same issue, and comes across this thread.
This member reads your post first and follows through ALL the items you listed, without any resolution whatsoever.
This is a waste of time for this member, and could think unpleasant things about the resources this Community actually is providing....
The feedback you are being given by ShawnC13 is helpful feedback. Correctness also gives the Community credibility (as well as you as a member), which will only help future and existing customers. And, give a better overall experience here.
Believe me, when I first started, I was straight up told when I was incorrect or off base (most of these members still around today ;P).
So, I would either correct my post (trying to note it as an edit), or remove it completely, or strike it out.
But, try to take it as constructive criticism, so that the Community is a helpful place.

I got a kick out of a reply from sheytoon imagining a not so clever bot AI just dumping the same old copy/paste everywhere.
That and dumping the whole kitchen sink where maybe just maybe something might stick and work for the customer.
But the strategy seems to be working for them. They're hauling in lots of solutions. How could they not. They give every possible idea that might work.
Sigh
@Anonymous Lol...I had search to see which sheytoon post you were referring too. Yep, the strategy (bot or not) is certainly successful!

BTW you're not the only who gets corrected about incorrect information in their posts. Most of us have had that happen (and still do) when, usually inadvertently, we give the wrong information to the OP.
I thought the advice being given you today was done mostly respectfully.
Earning few bucks helping others is a nice perk to get involved in Community.
Nevertheless that should NOT be primary goal being here.
I personally try to learn from all posts answering questions and I absolutely do not mind being corrected as that is the way I learn.
But pasting generic answer for every single question (contact CSA, etc., etc.) does not help anybody. Yes, it generates reward points but misses the point of the whole Community involvement.
Same as 'answering' question(s) 10-15 hours after solution has been selected. Once one of my teachers told me: silence is golden; good speech only silver.
@Meow Absolutely agree with you. I doubt most of us are spending hours here because of the small rewards being earned, but I just didn't like the way this user was dismissing other community users' efforts in trying to help.

@Anonymous, I get your point unfortunately refreshing the network would have nothing to do with this. Rebooting is not a fix-all and I do believe the frustration you are seeing against your posts is because you are providing information that is totally irrelevant to some of the questions being asked. Like I have said to you before it doesn't matter if you are the first to respond if your answer doesn't help them then it isn't any good to them. If you don't know or don't understand what is being asked, please don't post, read what others have supplied as potential solutions, and remember that for the next time a similar question gets asked. Dropping in a copy and paste answer that you do in threads over and over isn't the correct way to really help. It is unfortunate if you feel people are being mean to you but they are trying to help you be a better forum member just like they are helping the people asking the questions.

The noticing a 2 hour difference and saying PT is interesting though. I wonder if the OP has an AB number. Or that they did those texts while in AB (or parts of eastern BC).
@darlicious : Your banging head image got removed so I undid my bravo to it.

@Anonymous, I am offering you help and asking you to be more aware of the questions you are answering. You asked my answer to the OP on this question? I didn't need to add anything because correct information was already provided. That is why I am now spending my time trying to help you so you know you're providing information that doesn't help. I want you to be able to give correct answers and that will help everyone.

Yes i'm.
That is great @Anonymous, but the person that asked isn't and the information you provided them would not help anyone asking that question no matter what time zone they are in

No, this has nothing to do with refreshing network connection.
From one ESL person to another:
You really, really, REALLY need to slow down and work on your reading comprehension.
And then, when you have understood what was asked, provide accurate information that adds to help the poster and whenever possible does not unnecessarily tie up CSA time.

As below.....just remember that pm runs on the eastern time zone. Your renewal will occur at 9pm pt. Autopay normally gets charged at 11pm pt.

10-17-2021 05:22 PM
@Anonymous, that will not accomplish anything with how the usage is shown in the self-serve. I am not sure you understood the question if you think rebooting or reseating the sim would work for this question that was asked

10-17-2021 05:15 PM
@Anonymous, none of that will help the OP as it has nothing to do with how things are showing in the usage tab of the self-serve. Remember no matter if you are the first or last to respond if the information you post needs to answer the question and help the OP. The Forum is only as good as the information provided in it, please help us make this a great place by providing accurate information that answers the questions asked.
