HI @Moseline
.. only if you use Change Now option. No partial refund for the unused days of the current plan
So, don't use that. Instead, choose Change on Renewal and schedule the plan change on your upcoming renewal date

So if i change my plan now i will pay for the full price of that pan now?

hi @Moseline
whatever plan you choose, you will be charge the full price of that new plan
And after each renewal, you earn 5% of the plan price and it will be added to your My Rewards account. You will also be given a bonus 10 points (= $10) on your anniversary date with Public Mobile. After you have cumulated 15 points in My Rewards, you redeem 15 points for $15 bill credit. The bill credit will be added to your My Account and will be used towards the next renewal

hi @Moseline
first, I am just customer like you.
everyone was notified by email or text, in fact, there were 150 days bonus data given to everyone affected. You just missed the announcement
you can login to My Account and check Change Subscription page, there should be some better deals on your My Account. If you see one, click Change on Renewal and schedule a plan change

hhi @Moseline
were you on the $25 - 1GB plan and had been receiving $2 loyalty discount until April/May last year?
you might have missed the announcement back in March about the rewards system change
PM retired the old reward system earlier (May 2024) and everyone migrated on the new Public Points system.
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/move-to-public-points
With this new system, you pay the full amount first (with the Available Funds on your My Account or via your credit/debit card on the system), and hence you see a higher charge now.
After renewal, PM will give you the points to your reward account within 48 hours. Once you collected 15 points, you can redeem $15 bill payment yourself to bring the next payment down. Or you can also use points to buy add-ons with a discounted price
For how to earn points with Public Points,
I have to admit Public Points rewards is not as good as the Legacy rewards system, but you are still saving money, just in a slower pace
Here is more information about the rewards system migration:
