Data stopped working yesterday

I got a text yesterday saying I had used 75% of my data. I turned off mobile data and when I turned it back on today it connected to LTE but wouldn’t load anything.

I had another 4.5GB left on my plan so that wasn't it.

I previously tried restarting the phone, no effect.

I previously tried toggling airplane mode, no effect.

I previously tried resetting network settings, no effect.

I then tried your advice to put the sim into another phone. It had data connectivity, so I put the sim back into my phone and it's working now.

Weird stuff but it worked out, thank you.

Hi @esjliv !
Are you using an android phone ?
It happened to me when I updated the phone to Android 12, I had to reset the network settings.

Depending of your phone it could be here

  1. Find and tap Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Reset network settings.
  2. Tap RESET SETTINGS.

or here

  1. Find and tap Settings > Network & internet > Reset network settings.
  2. Tap RESET SETTINGS.

Restart your phone and try again to connect 🙂

@scotty  - confirm what your balance of your remaining data actually is by logging into your My Account and seeing what is left in the usage area:

If My Account does not match 75%, then you can safely ignore that text and go by your My Account values of remaining data.

If data remains and you still cannot access data on your phone, try:

  • restarting the phone
  • toggle in/out airplane mode
  • perform a reset of the device's network settings
  • try your sim into another phone to see if data works

Perhaps in your settings, your phone has set a limit on the amount of data you can use (You can change this setting).
