@Sher65 The data counter is pretty accurate. In many occasions the data will be used up by upgrades or other app running in the background. The device has a built-in feature that shows data consumption and how many data was used by each app. You just need to sync the dates with the PM plan start date and you should be able to determine what happened
If you still feel that the data counter was in error then submit a ticket to PM for investigation.

Check data usage in add ons after logging into self serve. Data may have been consumed and an data add on could be bought for use until next renewal date. WIFI can be used until then. This is a common issue.

Well if it's out of data it means something used it up.
Click "view my usage" under change plan to see the times data was used.
You need to check the phone settings. Have all background data turned off. Updates of apps and system via WI-FI ONLY.
Turn off wifi assist if it's an iPhone or wifi+ if it's an android phone. Where it will automatically reconnect to data if wifi signal is week.

Maybe screenshot your overview page like above, but omit any personal information. If you don't see the data counter, it means that the data has run out.

Is data enabled .? @Sher65 , can your son send mms messages? If it's blank, he's out of data. Check the phones daya usage to see the greatest culprits. Do some data saving techniques, such as downloading only on WiFi, disable apps from using daya in the background. Etc.

More details would be helpful. Was data working before? Which plan were you on? Is it possble that you ran out of data? Check your overview page to see whether you see the data tracker in your Add on section. If you don't see the data counter, that means that you ran out of data.

Has it worked in the past?
Have you checked your account if you still have data and it's not all used up?
What kind of phone do you have?
Check the APN settings. They should be like below.
