Hello! I am currently on the $15 minute/month plan with 250 MB bonus data (with autopsy). I have had this plan for over a year. My phone is an OPPOA7X
The problem is: my data has never worked for Google chrome or Google maps or even Gmail. The data only has worked for Instagram and other random apps.
I have tried many troubleshooting ideas. Including:
- uninstalling chrome/google maps
- clearing the cache on these apps
- clearing the data on these apps
- ensuring that data is permitted for these apps
- ensuring that my APN data settings are correct
- toggling on/off airplane mode
- restarting my device
The only thing I have not tried is resetting my network settings. However, I do not want to resort to that. Also, I doubt this strategy would work because the data has never worked for Google chrome or google maps.

@thoughtjumble2 you tried this yet?
reboot to recovery, wipe data/cache, wipe cache, reboot, reinstall all apps.
if still fail, i really thing you have no choice but to try factory reset ...

Do you have settings to allow/disallow specific apps from running while using Data? If you do.....set them to allow.

I have done all this already, as I wrote in my first post

2. I have never tried another data provider for my phone
3. Yes, my phone has the latest OS updated (Android 9 ColorOS 6)

As another member mentioned, I would see if you could use any other platforms such as Safari, Firefox, etc.

Network reset is not as bad a factory reset of phone. Probably should be tried first. Your Wifi access passwords will be deleted.
Maybe screenshot your APN settings. Sometimes, the community can detect an error in one of your entries.

Someone with OnePlus phone has similar issue and this is what he has done:
reboot to recovery, wipe data/cache, wipe cache, reboot, reinstall all apps.
If still fail, try:
1. manually entering the APN
2. Check if Proxy was setup:
Go to setting> network setting>mobile network> Access point settings and delete the Proxy IP and Port and save this setting.

1. So, if you are using Wifi only, those Google app will all work without issue?
2. was the phone ever used on another network? What i suggest you is to get a SIM from another provider and try to see if data work
3. does the phone has the latest OS udpate?
4. did you ever rooted the phone or installed 3rd party OS?
Honest, it sounds to me that Google service wasn't installed properly or required update.

Have you tried using a different browser like IE or Firefox ?
