Not a question per se, more of an observation.
So I've noticed some time ago that the data counter in the self-service is giving out different answers depending on which network my phone is connected to. So when my phone is on the LTE network, I get a given amount of data usage. Then if I force my phone to connect to the 3G network, I get a totally different data usage.
Of course I'm aware of website issues with caching, incognito mode, blah blah blah. I know how to force a web page to reload from scratch bypassing the cache, so it's not about poor web programming I'm sure.
Here's what I mean. Left side is connected to LTE, right side is connected to 3G. Same phone, two screen grabs two minutes apart from each other.
What I haven't determined yet is if you go overboard in LTE and start depleting add-ons. What happens if you switch back to 3G... Do add-ons fill back up? I'm not a high enough data user to encounter this situation.
Forcing your phone to 3G the night before your rollover date looks like a way to game the system, methinks.

As I've learned the Public system reports 100MB extra used in the summary than actual usage whenever your phone is online. I guess this only applies to the LTE and likely 5G networks.

@xiv wow, now that's interesting. Can you confirm something for us, if you go back and do it again switching between LTE and 3G, will the data usage be consistent with the readings you got the first time? This would at least help to confirm it wasn't just somehow a one off thing.
Might be interesting to connect to Wifi and see what the usage comes back as, will it match the LTE reading or 3G or will it be a totally different number??

HI @xiv
are these screenshot when you check using the browser when you are using the data on LTE or 3G?
what happen if you check from the browser on a computer?
and surprise the 100Mb is from 4G/LTE and not 5G.
