My data usage was renewed on March 31. On April 1 I received a text message that I used up 95% of data but when I look in my account, I have a lot of data left. Does anyone know why this happened? Which is correct?

The text message was probably sent in error or was triggered to send before you renewed and your data counter was reset. To confirm the amount of data you have left refresh the page by using the little round arrow thingy at the bottom right of your usage page.

With this new site, you likely still reading off the cached version, so the usage you got was not up to date
An easy way is to click the Spinner on the bottom right of the section to force a refresh.
If you don't see an updated usage still, try to login My Account using Incognito mode (or InPrivate for Edge, Private for Safari) or try again with a completely different browser like Edge/Firefox/Chrome or try on another device. You should then see the latest info from the server.
Also, if you are on Android, check the data usage on your device's mobile data page. Just make sure you change the Billing start that on that page to match's PM's cycle start date
