Does anybody else wish that PM would begin offering phone plans that are customizable? I have noticed other mobile providers offer this feature for selecting phone plans. Would like to hear what other PM customers think of this!

PM is a 3rd provider, basic and simple, you will never see customizable plans here
Public Mobile did used to have customizable plans. There was a time when customers could choose any of talk, text, or data services in a plan. Times change and from a business point of view, offering that no longer made sense. From a customer's point of view, it was just a confusing mess. Public Mobile has a bare minimum that they're willing to sell plans for. In my opinion, choosing less of the talk, text, and data services isn't going to result in a lower priced plan.

@Aboveaveragejoe - the older I get, the more I want to use my phone for its original intended purpose…. As a phone. As long as I can make and take calls and then put my phone down to get outside and live, I’m happy. Too many folks are wasting their lives watching YouTube and tiktokkers that life is passing us by. Sorry for the short rant.

of course it is good to discuss what we want, but this is no cooperative business, so we don't get to decide what we want.
But there are quite many different carriers now, most offer similar products with similar price but still one or two are different. You can always choose the one you like and try it out. If you find a better one, it is easy enough to switch over these days
Yes, PM has been one of the different one, online support, rewards, 30 days. It is true the rewards not as "gold" as it used to be, but I keep saying, 2% is still better than 0%. Yes, it does not have all features, but I chose to save a few bucks a month instead of getting some not that useful features. Some are still nice to have , like Wifi calling, but I don't mind without either.
So, do I need a customizable plan? No. I am happy with what it offers

one of the good things about Public Mobile pre-paid service...we can leave any time we find something that we think is better. We can even come back when we find the grass isn't quite as green as it looks. PM isn't for everyone..indeed a few longtimers have left and are just happy with their new provider. Best is just to find a provider and plan that we can be happy with today...but keep watching the field in case something is more attractive elsewhere.

Public Mobile is a budget brand. The expectations should be basic service with very little frills at a very competitive price. After being here almost a decade, Public Mobile still checks off most of the boxes.

no harm. But I can only say PM does not have that option. PM has no voice only plans or data only plans. PM's model is simple, they only offer certain plans at a given time. Don't see it offering this any time soon. Good suggestion but sadly it will be stay as a "suggestion"

What would the harm be in allowing people to just have talk and text without the mandatory data bundles? Would this not reduce strain on the network? I don't know much about this kind of thing.

@Aboveaveragejoe you are right, but this is PM, a different model
And the system here was implement for years and I don't see they will complete with that. You can see no other established tier 3 follows that model

Is Fizz mobile not similar to PM in that regard?

this is a good idea but not with PM

I would tend to really agree with the WiFi calling. I am incredibly mind blown why Public Mobile doesn't offer this. The simple fact is this. WiFi calling takes stress off of the wireless networks just how like people who use their phones on their home WiFi networks when using data. It takes the stresses off the Public Mobile networks. To me, this would be common sense.
