Curious, will the new international plan cover me in places like Mexico Belize Honduras and the Bahamas. I see the can/USA roaming but can I send texts or receive texts while on the islands? Just wondering if this plan is worth it or not. Sasktel doesn’t have cheap plans. I’m paying 100 for 30 g in Canada.

hi @Blammo ship wifi is actually very good. Stable and ok speed , close to 10Mnps down and enough for video too
but if your need text on your PM number , then it won't work. But if you need it for 2FA, change to other way of receive the 2FA verification
if you just need to text to and receive from friends, use VoIP app instead

The ship has limited Wi-Fi. This is more for just texting my kids when I’m on land or if I go into the states, I was just wondering if they had it in those countries for texting I’m not I’m not worried about being on and checking the socials or anything.

hi @Blammo you can check with travel esim , but still 10GB for $60 for Mexico
But if you are planning to use data on the cruise ship, checked with your cruise , it is around $20 a day, but you can use it in the middle of the ocean

That’s exactly what I’m saying $100 for 30 gigs with Sasktel.

@Blammo , if you want roaming for cruises, this is the only service I have found that works even on the cruise ship. It is not cheap but cheaper than what cruise ships charge. BTW, are you saying you pay $100 for 30GB with Sasktel? Public Mobile is a lot cheaper than that.

@Blammo No sorry PM only has roaming in the U.S. , so for Mexico Belize you will need travel eSIM like airalo or buy local pre paid SIM card for your trip in your destination
