says credit card info not validated on app when I call in says plan is 34 plus tax but it is 40. I don't want to pay on phone then stuck with older plan.

hi @Jenniferross84 there was showing on app? did you try using browser? 

please use Incognito/private/secret mode on your browser to login My Account to confirm again

Hello @Jenniferross84 

The app is known to have cache issues. If it's an Android phone, then go to the app settings and clear the cache first then clear the data then reboot the phone. Then log in and try again. If it's an iPhone, delete the app, reboot, redownload the app and try again.
