to update your credit card on the app: log in and select "Payment" at the bottom, then "Update card information".
to update your credit card on website browser: log in and select "Payments" on the left side, select "Mange Subscription" and then "Manage Payment Method".
If you'd like Auto-pay enabled, make sure you are "subscribed" which is what PM calls auto pay. If you dont want auto-pay, then you must "unsubscribe". Hope this helps 🙂

@RGonzo easiest way is to go into your Public Mobile app and go to the "Payment" tab and select "Update Card Information"

just login My Account and update the card there. It is better to using Incognito/private/secret mode on your browser to login to avoid cache problem. When you are in My Account, go to Payment, Manage Subscription and then Update card information there.
if it gives you an error, and you have time to wait for next renewal, wait 24 hours and try again.
