Choosing plan

Planning to sign up for a plan tonight. Wondering which data plan to choose. If we choose one and towards the end of a month find that it’s not enough data, can we upgrade to the next plan? Will we still get to benefit from the $5 off holiday bonus for the first 6 months?

If all conditions of the promotion were met, the first $5 credit will appear before the first renewal.

Hi @Roberts99

You will lose the signup bonus if you switch.

The best thing would be to look at your previous usage and gage by that, if your usage parents don't change your consumption will stay about the same, may declined a little bit as throttled connecting ends up being less demanding

@Roberts99 : The wording's a little unclear. The first renewal needs to be $35 or higher. After that, the wording is unclear. I don't recall seeing any clarification from the company. These promos _usually_ have conditions that state no plan changes. It seems reasonable to be able to go up in plan. It also seems reasonable not to be able to go down in plan.

Did you already register your e-mail address for the $5 off offer?

As for upgrading your plan, it cannot be upgraded without losing what you've already paid fo the current plan.

Also, plans are not based on calendar months. They are based on 30-day cycles.

Hi @Roberts99

That's the beauty of Public Mobile, you can always switch plans or add-on data.

If you are going to switch plans, recommendation would be to choose to do so on next renewal so you don't lose out on what's remaining on the current cycle.

If you choose to just add data, the beauty of that is the unused data will remain on the account until it's consumed so you won't lose it when the cycle ends.  I would recommend adding the More the Merrier promo on from Dec 1 to Dec 31, if you're looking for more data.

More is merrier (publicmobile.ca)

You'll still get the holiday bonus referred to as the More the Merrier, however you'll have to refer to the terms and conditions of making plan changes with other promos!!!
