I am currently in Washington, USA for 2 months. Is there any way to check my voicemail?
Do I need the 15-day roaming addon to check my voicemail?

I used a different phone to call my public mobile phone number, waited for the voicemail prompt, and pressed '*' to enter the voicemail menu. A VoIP service also works for accessing voicemail.
Thank you for confirming this. I just wanted to make sure as Public Mobile is one interesting service. You can receive text messages while in the US without a sub or addon but can't send. Hence the reason I asked. 🙂

why not? Try yourself with a landline. Call yourself and enter * at greeting
when you are in US, call using VoIP app so you can call for free or you can call using landline with LD fees. Or instead of calling your line, you can call one of the 4001 voicemail number
Test it yourself

Pressing '*' during the voicemail system message seems to have worked. Thank you!

Hello @bau
To use your phone in the United States, you are required to either purchase a US add on or have a Canada/US package. There is no charge for calling your voicemail if you have these two options. If you don't, you would have to dial your phone number from somewhere in the US and pay fees.
On that note, I would strongly look at the Black Friday plans that came out today. There is some SERIOUS value there for Canada US plans.

yes you cam check voicemail without roaming
To check voicemail, use some VoIP app to call for free (or you can also use landline) to call yourself and click # as your voicemail greeting starts, then enter PIN
