Change to point system

As it seems the change to the point system will enevitably cost more, has anyone looked into other options?

I notice Freedom mobile has a better plan for $1 more than the plan I have now ( with the discounts)

I have the 25 doller plan 1gig at 3g but with loyalty and referrels I am at $18.

Freedom has a plan for $19 at 4G and 5 gig promotional data.

They seem to piggy back on other providers networks as well as their own. (not sure which ones)

Seems like a good option? And what if I don't agree to the new terms and conditions publick is pushing. Are they alowed to rase my rate?

I believe with Public I can only use the Telus network.

Technical question: So, I am in a Freedom mobile city. If I went to a Nationwide zone and picked up on a possibility of 3 networks. (not just one like Public) could the coverage be better than Public? Right now there is a case where my wife has signal with Shaw and I do not with Public when we are at my cabin. Maby making 3 providers availabe for use might be better coverage?

@Theduke - Some people have turned to PC Mobile BUT Freedom has a limited coverage where you can join and when outside of the Freedom Zone you will be piggybacking on a Nationwide zone which runs off of Bell, Telus, and Rogers towers.

You CANNOT join outside their Freedom Network or else after a couple months being on Nationwide you will lose privileges and ultimately cannot run your phone outside the Freedom Network.

Also try Fizz's BETA program. You cannot join Fizz outside their zones also. Though it is Freedom network and that you will have to piggy back off of Rogers network when outside those zones Fizz is cheap (6 months BETA with $20 50GB Canada US)

hi @Theduke PM didn't change the plan price, you just have less rewards to pay for it

Just like people has been using coupon to pay less on a McDonald's combo, one day they stop giving out coupons, but it has nothing wrong on McDonald's part

Yup, I don't like that too, but I have to agree they are doing it eithi their right

Yes, look around and get deals that really save you money, but don't go just because you want to leave.  Stay or go, follow your wallet

@Theduke  If you in freedom zone then it just can’t be beat , unless you have 5-7 referrals which can off set the lose of maxed out legacy rewards . After you get your bonus data use it up and port out and back in on newly created PM account with new email and sim . And go for a new activation only plan like the 4GB $24 plan possibly
