Cant activate my phone

I am currently with freedom mobile and i am trying to activate my sim online and I have been trying for hours, every time i get to the last page it says payment failled and tells me to try again with a different card and by now I have memorized my freedom account number and all of my credit card numbers but nothing is working and I still dont have a working phone with Public Mobile. This is all very frusterating and it is a bit silly that I cant seem to find any help for it. I am NOT being charged for any of the attempts but I would like to get this sorted out asap. I have tried everything on here (another browser, incognito tab) nothing appears to work.

You are right.  There is no issues with your credit card.  Just issues with Public Mobile taking your credit card as payment.  Unfortunately, we see this problem sometimes for certain customers.  You may need to contact moderator for help then, but the wait times can be a few days.  That is why I suggested maybe getting vouchers, but up to you.  Sorry that I could not help further.

There are no issues with my credit card, I have tried 4 different credit cards which work for everything else every other time I wish to use them. I even used my partners card to try and see if that will work. It does not.

It looks like that there are issues with your payment/credit card.  That sometimes happens.  It must be frustrating.....  

 

You could buy a payment voucher either in store or online (via recharge.com) and then deal with the credit card issues later with a moderator.  It is an extra step,but you will be able to activate account, etc.

I have tried this, I even waited overnight to give it a break and try again, still no success with a new number. no success with a different browser no success with a different card. incognito tab. other computer. 

this is quite silly and a giant waste of my time.

If you are still having difficulties, the website can be finicky at times.  Try a different webbrowser, clearing cache and incognito/privacy mode.  Sometimes you might to wait some time in between attempts.  

 

For your credit card, make sure that the address is exactly the same as your credit card billing address.  Leave apartment section blank.  

 

As stated above, you can get a temporary new public mobile number first and then port your number afterwards.  

 

If you are porting your number directly, keep the porting nformation simple.  Just use your Freedom mobile account holder name, Freedom mobile number and Freedom mobile account number.

Pick up a random # first during the activation, and then transfer your landline just like that:

 

1-Go to publicmobile.ca and then click My account.
2-Log in to your self-serve account.
3-Select Plan and Add-ons tab from Overview page.
4-Select Change Phone Number from Plan Summary page.
5-Transfer # IN
