Cannot downgrade my subscription

I would like to downgrade my subscription for example I had $25 subscription but I want now $19 subscription but I cannot see $19 subscription on my account page though I could see that before. What is the problem?

Also, I'll point out that "new activations" is not true.  It showed me way more than 3 plans when upgrading, but only 3 when downgrading.  Including plans that were supposedly for new activations only.

I get selective private offers, but they are not allowing me to select publicly available options that are advertised on their website.   The list only shrinks when I log in (to only 3 plans).

Imagine walking into a grocery store after buying a turkey for $100 and not being allowed to buy anything less than $100 despite the items being on the shelves, because you are now a $100+ customer according to their records.

When I go to public's website without being logged in I'm presented with plans starting at $19, but when I log in I only see 3 options starting at $32 and going up because I wanted a $39 for one month.  All I want is to go back to one of the plans that are shown on the website that is $20 per month or less.  (it's for my school age child we doesn't need much).

hi @JoshDurston1

how does that illegal? especially there is no contract

I don't like that, but all mobile carriers do that.  You heard so many about Winback deals, or deals for special group (like target to different companies or so).

I don't like it too, but this is how mobile carriers do business.

How is it legal to selectively offer different people different plans?  Especially since there is no contract.

I upgraded (From $19 to $39) because I had a need for more data one month.   Was assuming I could go back to any one of the many offered plans, but now there are only a couple since I have an expensive one.  Very frustrating.  I was recommending public to friends and relatives, but not any longer.

@cgs0101

as of right now, Telus has a prepaid plan that's available for 365 days and only costs $100...for the entire 365 days. It comes with unlimited Canada wide calling, unlimited sms and 2GB's per month...just make sure to use the promo code AUTO2G. You can port your PM number easily to Telus as long as you keep your PM account active until successfully ported to Telus.

@cgs0101 TheSterlinger is right, the only way around this is to port your number out to another provider and then come back as a new customer using a new SIM and a different email. It's not convenient and if you have existing referral points you will lose them but unfortunately Public Mobile made this decision to only allow upgrades, no downgrades, not nice.

@cgs0101  hi, the problem is that Public Mobile will not allow anyone to downgrade to a lesser plan than they currently have. Unfortunately you can only downgrade to what you see in your account.
