Cannot buy new SIM cards online

for_ever
Good Citizen / Bon Citoyen

Hi All,

    I'm trying to buy new SIM cards online for my daughter and the web form keeps refuses my VISA card saying "ZIP code doesn't match billing address".

I tried a Master Card and again it refused saying "Cannot verify your card's details".

Both cards are valid and we used them in the morning somewhere else...

Any suggestions ?

Thanks,

   Ahmed.

$23 for two sims, it's a reasonable price.  Usually regular price is $10 +tax.

Yes I understand the risk. The thing is I don't have Paypal account and I saw advice coming from this great forum... that's why I didn't hesitate to pay using my credit card.

Thanks for your input.

Hi All,

     I tried to buy from https://canadiancellsupplies.com. The VISA card gave the same error "Zip code doesn't match billing address". Then I tried with Master Card and it worked. I paid $6.90 for two SIM cards which is cheaper than publicmobile.ca $11.50, which is cheaper than Walmart $23 !!!

Thanks for all of your support and quick replies. I hope I can get them soon from https://canadiancellsupplies.com.

Ahmed.

Was the $23 from Walmart include a one month payment for a plan?

I have seen many people here order from that site. I am sure if they were fake I would have seen as many complaints.

@chainsawcowboy

Not sure what you are getting at or is about my comment. I would not use a credit card with a business like this especially if they accept PayPal. The sale using a credit card can be all ok....but if your your info is not secure due to lack of system security and potential dishonest employees, why not avoid any potential hassle for you?

That means it's humour that's not widely known but once you are "in the know" you will get it. So once you receive the envelope with your SIM cards you will get the "joke"....we hope! If not come back and we will explain it.

@for_ever

No not at all I have purchased pm SIM cards, vouchers and activation bundles from them. The owner is extremely helpful and gives excellent customer service. You will get the "inside joke" when your SIM cards arrive.

Use PayPal with CCS. I would never use a credit card at a small business like CCS.

As @darlicious noted it is quicker and cheaper to buy online from Canadian Cell Supplies in Ontario.

@for_ever   it might not be bad.  PM lately ship SIM very slow.  2 weeks or longer.

If you need it for activation, try to activate instore, they will give the SIM to you for free.

Or you can buy from them and activate yourself, it should only cost you around $10.  If they charge you $15 or above, walk away.  But best to call shops and ask first.  Many won't see the SIM , they rather leave it to earn activation commission

@for_ever

Also the shipping address has to match the card billing address I believe....

Credit cards info has to be entered exactly as it appears in statement. Try using all capitals and no space in postal code.
