That is useful information. Did you use a travel eSIM while away?
As mentioned in earlier posts, reboot your phone. Network reset of phone.
Remove or inactivate any travel eSIM.

How long did you leave the country for? Did you pay for your account while away or suspend the account?
If your account was suspended more than 90 days, your account is permanently closed and your number lost.

@Loraine19 Have you tried rebooting the device and or reset network settings yet ? Try that and see if it helps also note by reseting network settings you will have to re add wifi passwords also

check if your account is active or suspended for non-payment.
if it is active, the issue is usually you didn't remove the travel sim card or travel esim. Remove the travel sim card, delete the travel esim. And check VPN screen, you should delete Profile created by your travel sim
Then, make sure PM sim is active and set as Primary. Last, reboot phone and click Reset network settings
