I was in Mexico  in November , I got a verizon sim card  for a month contract with unlimited text and unlimited calls for $9.00 US. the only way to go. Avoid T-mobile and AT&T there service sucks down there.

If you're going for a short trip, consider downloading free voip app like TextNow. It uses the wifi in your resort, cafe and condo to make / recieve free calls and texts to most any US and CDN number. There's wifi in many places in Mx...you might just have to ask for their password.

If you're going for a longer trip, consider getting a local sim and a cheap Mx plan. I've used TelCel Amigo Sin Limite and got 30 days of talk / text to Canada / US / Mex, plus 3GB of data...all for about $20Cdn.

for local data choice, try going to OXXO and they can sell you good prepaid plans there

@carlossilva   Sorry, but no.  PM only offers roaming for 10 days while in the US.  Mexico has lots of cheap plans with data for visitors though, so best to get a local SIM while you're there.

No you can't.   It will have 0 service .

Best to buy a sim card in mex. Rates are much cheaper.

Doesn't help with 2fa if that's the issue though

Nope, no add-ones for Mexico.

Purchase a local SIM.
