I was previously with Rogers, then switched to Public Mobile. I canceled my account a couple of months ago. When I tried to log back into my account it looked like it was deactivated because I had cancelled for more than 90 days.
I would like to get my old phone number back. Is there a way to do so? Is the number still with Public Mobile or did it go back to Rogers? Is it possible to get the number back with Public Mobile if I order another SIM card?
Thanks

Nope you can not get the old number back. At least from Public mobile, as you originally got it from Rogers, you would need to go back to them and see if you can get it back. But it is very hard if not impossible to get a specific phone number back.
You are going to need to contact Rogers

on top of what @softech has suggested...I'd suggest you first try dialing that number. If it's been re-assigned already, then you won't be getting it back.

Yes, the number went back to Rogers. To verify who owns a number check here. You would have to get a Rogers SIM, and a plan and port out again. Perhaps Rogers can tell if number is available, or easier yet....call the number.

If your PM account is deactivate/deleted due to no pay for 90 days, phone number is lost - went to pool of unassigned numbers and it is probably given to somebody else.
Call your 'old' number and see if it is in use. But since it was Rogers' number I doubt they will be so kind to somehow give it back.

HI @worldycitrus if you got the number from Rogers in the beginning, then NO. Once account is permanently closed, the number will be returned back to the original carrier, in your case Rogers
You will have to activate an account with Rogers family and try. But it is hard to get specific number back
