Hi there I have recently switched plans. I don’t want to keep my remaining phone number but I did not reactivate my account for this month. Therefore they can’t bring the number over. I was wondering if I can activate so they can import my number

Yes, your previous account must be Active to port your number over.
Also you need to leave the old SIM in the phone to confirm to the text that you are porting your old number over. Note there is a 90 minute window for you to reply or the the porting will be cancelled and you need help from a CS_Agent to port over…long lengthy process.

Which provider are you going to?
your PM account must be active to be ported out. Downgrade your plan to $15 and reactivate with that (for the lowest cost). Once your PM account is reactivated and your PM sim is working, then call your new provider and ask them to port the number

Your old account MUST be Active if you hope to port to PM ..(or anywhere).
