Can I access my voice messages while I am abroad (outside of Canada and US)?

I will be travelling extensively for the next 6 months and while I know public mobile does not offer calls from outside Canada or the US, will I be able to access my voice messages and if so, how? Thanks

I think it is impossible or extremely hard. I was in Asia last month, there is no signal for sim card, so I cannot receive calls or make calls

@VRMadd12 Only an issue in the US, as noted. But I also seem to recall that was only for conditional forwarding anyway? Unconditional forwarding I thought was okay. Either way you can work around it by removing the sim card.

hi @VRMadd12

no need to leave your phone in Canada.  Yes, it is true as long as the phone sees the US network, the forwarding would break.  But to avoid that, just remove the sim card before reaching the US border, this way, the forward will stay

Only way I know to forward messages from your PM cell to a Textnow number is to leave your PM cell phone in canada and take a second cell phone aboard.  If you take your PM cell, it will not receive calls while aboard and therefore can not forward the call.

As stated, yes you can. You may also want to consider signing up for TextNow and then set you Public Mobile phone number to forward your calls to the TextNow number, which can be accessed over wifi.

I assume you will be using another carrier when travelling abroad. Call your PM number as if it were long distance from where you are. Let it go to voicemail. At the greeting press * and follow the prompts to get into your voicemail.

HI @Joian

yes, you can.  you can call yourself from any phone.  When you hear your greeting, press * to interrupt and enter the pin

you can also use VoIP app to call yourself and check voicemail that way. Download TextNow and call yourself using the app and check voicemail like I said above
