I'm currently in Mexico. I have a Canada/US/Mexico plan. The data is working fine on Telcel, although it is LTE+, not 5G. I'm guessing that's as expected.
My problem is calling a Mexican number. The number I want is listed as +52 56 2109 5583. This is a number for Walmart, so I'm not not divulging anything personal.
I haven't figured out how to get this call to connect. I've followed all of the advice I've found here on the forum, ten digits, +011, as written...nothing connects.
Any advice?

I found a solution on another site. Telcel is now working perfectly. To call MX from MX with any non MX SIM, dial +52 XX XXXX XXXX.

@No_Nickname a écrit :AT&T allows me to call some MX numbers, but still not Walmart. Strange. I guess I'll keep it there, at least for a bit.
I cannot even call that particular number from Canada. So, it is likely the number you got was wrong. Check again

@No_Nickname you might be on the correct network. But PM has 3 roaming partners in Mexico and you should manually connect to all 3 and try. Change the network connection to Manual and choose AT&T, Telcel and Movistar
If issue persists, ask PM CS agent for further assistance

I can call CDN & US numbers normally from Mexico. I am definitely registered correctly on the network.

I'm getting a "5B1 error" which the almighty Google tells me may be a Public Mobile routing error.

hi @No_Nickname
just dial 56 2109 5583
If your phone/carrier requires a local format for Mexico City mobile numbers, you can also try:
1 56 2109 5583
(but most modern Mexican networks no longer require the extra “1”)

try dialing just your local Mx number without exit code.
