Birding in Costa Rica

I am soon travelling to Costa Rica for a birding trip for about 2 weeks. I want to be able to use my birding apps there. What do I need to do?

I know they have stopped  people from register outside of US. for some time, people can register in Canada and us, and use their service overseas. But I will try if a registered account can still use their app service outside of US and Canada

Hey @hairbag1 . From what I understand it affects their wireless cellular (SIM card), not via WiFi.

PM has no roaming service there and you won't  be able to use data there 

for other app, you can use local data sim or travel eSIM

Public Mobile only works in Canada, the United States and Mexico. There is no roaming outside these three countries. 

If I may make a suggestion though that might be worth looking into. You can download an app like TextNow, pick a local number to where you live now. This way you can make calls back to Canada if need be.

Look at getting a eSIM from Airalo. Airalo are "data" SIM cards. There you will have data to be able to use your birding app. Here's the link.
