Bad service

This past few weeks cellular service has been bad for us. Data has been slow and many dropped calls. My wife's phone is experiencing the same as well as another couple of my relatives that are on public mobile.

 

I don't know if this is a broader issue or a PM issue. Since PM adopted 4G, could this potentially affect 3G users? Anybody else experiencing sluggish network performance?

 

My phone shows it has service 2-4 bars) and LTE, it seems the network is just sluggish. It has been a frustrating few weeks, I hoped the problem would rectify itself but thus far it hasn't.

 

Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated.

The introduction of 4G plans should have no effect on your reception.  4G/LTE has been here from long time and many of us are using it with reduced speed

 

Can you try to change your network to 3G Only (some devices call it WCDMA only or HSPA Only) and see if it improve 

Also, do you get better connection at other location?   If you only have trouble in a particular location, it will be the network antenna around that area

 

Again, you can open ticket with PM CS Agent and have them to check.  Make sure you tell them where you experience the issue:

start by typing : Contact CS Agent
then Click "Contact Us"
then Click "Other"
finally Click "Click here to submit a ticket"
you will then direct to another page to open ticket.

After ticket is submitted, make sure to check your Community Inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically for response from PM's CS Agent

 

If you have problems submitting a ticket, you can also send a private message to the CS Agent (but this can take longer):

You can always inquire with agent regarding service quality. Maybe they know more then the rest of us.

It could be temporary outage due to equipment upgrade, hot weather, who knows.
