Good to know! I wasn’t allow if this.

It starts to make sense now why PM is not charging for it.

Yes, I never use apps to call them nowadays. With OTP, etc it just won't cut it with banks, credit cards, etc.

My Duckduckgo reports trackers and such and they are horrible for that. So, I just quit using them. Just not for me.

Toll free numbers are set up that the recipient of the call pays for it…..not the caller.

Not correct.

Depending on who you are calling…not a good idea. Some banking companies use the inbound number as a security factor AND to automatically bring up your account information.

My cell phone has very low usage. Calls from spouse and the odd outbound call. Almost all my outbound calls are for banking and are calls to toll free numbers. I can 💯 % reassure you that any toll free call from Canada does NOT count against your 100 outbound minutes.
Toll free numbers can be controlled to who can call them. Ie some can be to USA or another country. Some go through and some don’t based on the set up. And if they go through, they don’t count.

Thanks to all.

I used to, but no longer. They track people big-time. So, I no longer use those apps.

Have you tried using TextNow app and pick a secondary number then make you 1-800 number through WiFi?

@JimRockford_PI , all outbound calls count toward the available minutes. Given the generally long wait times with customer service these days, it is pretty tenuous trying to make a toll free call on a limited usage plan.

by PM policy on paper, 1-800 numbers are counted towards your outbound minutes bucket for limited minutes plan
However, many community members tried and nd confirmed they don't count. So, use it free for now, until PM tighten up the process
