For Potential New Clients - BE AWARE, you cannot active the SIM Card without a GOOGLE or APPLE Account!!!

It is Very Deceptive for Public Mobile to NOT inform potential Clients of this Before having to waste hours going thru the set-up process only to find out at the end that their efforts were wasted!

I can not imagine what 3rd party OS is still in use or how old that flip phone must be...

Even Blackberry had support discontinued last year

For customers to complete an activation, the Public Mobile app needs to be used.  The only offical way to get the app means that the customer needs to use either the Apple app store or Google's Play store.  Both require either an Apple or Google login.

(And to the contrary I feel like iCloud emails in general are terrible for activating and even though I am on Apple strongly suggest using Gmail or even Hotmail)

Apps can also be sideloaded on Android but there's no promise that the app will work properly on a device that hasn't been marked as compatible with the app.

When I first started with PM, I never downloaded the app or anything like that. I went to a local store in my area and they did it for me. Find a local store here and they may be able to help you as well.

you need to install the app for smooth activation, which you need a Google or Apple account 

but in case you don't like installing app , there is still workaround.  You can use browser to activate and it will stop halfway, payment step

After payment , you just need to message support to complete the activation.  So, it is a way to activate without google or apple account
