Apple Watch e-Sim, not tied to a phone

Is there any way to load the public mobile app on an Apple Watch and set it up with it's own dedicated eSim number?  I do not care if it's tied to the main phone or not.

In fact the list of Canadian carrier that support watch with esim is very short:
Bell, Freedom, Rogers, Sasktel, Telus and Virgin Plus

Some physical sim wearables:

Samsung Gear S3 Frontier 4G LTE
TickTalk 4
Zeblaze THOR 6

@computergeek541  Thanks for clarifying.

@computergeek541  Good to know I didn’t realize any smart watch wasn’t eSIM and @Jedi1  thanks you for that I assumed Koodo support Apple Watch   Should have just said look to Telus . And there ya go @TR5  sell the Apple Watch and get / smart watch that has physical sim and you can use it  independent of the phone 🙂

Koodo does not support wearables either.   I was on Koodo previously and use an Apple Watch but have never activated cellular as it was not available on Koodo.

sure they do support wearables. They don't support the Apple watches.

@TR5  No sorry PM doesn’t support Apple Watch / smart watches , all you can do is Bluetooth them to phone . Need to look to Koodo or Telus for that

While an Apple watch can't have sepearate independent service to use on Public Mobile, there isn't any reason for some smartwatches that have  SIM card slot to not work.
