I received a promo from PM on 8/30/23 to change data plan to 40G data 5G Canada-US wide at $50. I took the offer and made the change with immediate effect. Paid $52.50 with my credit card on file on 8/30/23. The new cycle started on 8/30, ending 9/29. However, the cycle for my old data plan was just started on 8/22 when my credit card was charged $47.25. Will there be any refund on the payment made to the old plan?

Ok. It’s all sorted out properly.
The last glitch was that the PM website and app were still showing that I was still on a 30 day plan, though I had paid for 90 days back in Sept 8th. It took several messages back and forth with the Admin team yesterday and today to get it resolved, but now I can finally see that I have the 90 day plan that I had paid for applied to my account. This took too much time and effort to sort out.

Something went wrong though. Now my situation is worse. I was refunded the $39.55 as discussed, but I was also taken off of the 90 day plan even though I have already paid $115.28 for it on Sept 8th.
This was not the help I needed. I was too busy with back to school stuff to check in on this again until now - - and my issue was “fixed” by giving me a credit for one month (due to my mistake), and then taking away my 90 day plan even though I had already paid for it.
So if this continues as is for the next two months, I will have paid for 90 days ($115.28), gotten 30, and I assume that I will now be billed monthly for the next two months as well. In the end after the 90 dsys are up, I will have paid for five months, and received three months of service. They have managed to make it worse instead of fixing it.

PM has refunded my one month’s payment which was auto-paid four hours before the Flash Sale:
“What I can do as a one time courtesy is to refund you the $35 + tax payment made today for the 30-day subscription.”
So - just don’t screw up like I did! Read the offer details twice, and click once! PM’s “screw you - no refunds” policy generally stinks though. If there were enough Canadian competition maybe PM (Telus) and the other couple of huge telecom companies wouldn’t have such sticky fingers. MVNOs, anyone? There used to be a blazing red warning message on doing immediate plan changes. Now it's one of the disclaimers under the cart list. Always read these kinds of fine prints. It's brief and not legalese so it's not arduous to plough through like so many fine prints and license agreements and such.

Hi @blakemax You are more than welcome to contact a CS Agent for assistance on that.

Well technically you lost 6 days of paid service. However I 100% agree that a warning bubble should pop up asking "You will lose any remaining time on your current balance. Are you sure??" That to me is very sketchy of PM to do. I would suggest if you feel strongly about it, you are more than welcome to make a report to the CRTC of unfair practice.

Same thing happened to me, but worse — can you believe that my plan renewed earlier this morning, then a few hours later I get the Flash Sale notification and change to the offered plan then realize what had just happened. Sure, I should have caught it — but it is straight theft to forfeit a month’s service payment only a few hours after my renewal. Flash Sale? I feel like I was mugged.

Thanks hTideGnow.
PM should disclose it when the options were offered. If I knew, I would choose Change on Renewal. My wife did the same change that date; so loss x 2 🤐

HI @BLmobile5G
sorry, NO. PM does not provide partial refund for early plan change. You should have choose Change on Renewal instead 😞
