Either way works fine; some people find it works better like @itimjob said, but my friend and I ported ours right from the start and it worked perfectly 🙂

it's free to port your no.
but i recomend to pick the NEW no. when activate your SIM then go got "Change number" and do porting.
I did that and the porting went very smooth but my friend did the porting at the begining, it took 3-4 days to complete in her case.

Nope! You can safely activate a new number, and then port your old number through the Online Self-Serve once the account is up and running, no charge.
