Porting out to a different provider

Hi, I am porting out from PM to a different provider. My new provider said I will receive a text message from PM asking my permission to port out my number. I am wondering how long it usually takes to get that text message from the PM?

In my experience in most cases it takes less then 10 minutes but they say it can take up to 2 hours

hi @Bam204 

the text usually sent within 2 hours.  Make sure you PM account is active and able to receive text

if longer than 2 hours, call the new carrier and ask them to resend the porting request

and if still not receive the text, ask support agent using Chatbot here:       
            https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html 
             Type the question "Submit ticket", Then click the following in order: "Contact Us" ,  "Other",  "Log In".
