Hello,
I recently teleported my number to Public Mobile. I was able to text, call, use data since teleported my number. However, I find out today that no one is able to call me using the same number. I called my old cellphone carrier they asked if I have received a request from public mobile that I would like to teleport my number, my answer is no, I never got asked to confirm if I want to confirm for teleporting. But I did get messages from Public mobile congratulating me on activating with their service.
What should I do? I don't want to pay 2 mobile carrier companies or lose my phone number. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you!

As @HALIMACS already indicated, you need to put your previous carriers SIM back into your phone. If it still works, the port has not been completed, and you'll need to open a ticket with the moderators or try calling the porting department directly ( x ) to initiate re-trying your port. When they do, a text confirmation message will be send to your previous carrier that requires a response within 90 minutes.
After that, once your previous SIM card stops working, the port should be complete and calls should proceed to the new Public Mobile SIM. This process has reportedly taken up to 4 hours in some cases, but could be as quick as 5-30 minutes.
Keep in mind that some land lines and VoIP lines (ie MagicJack) can take 2 days or so before they get the updated routing information for calls to get through.

Please leave your old carrier's SIM in the phone to receive port confirmation to allow the port to complete.
Porting from another carrier varies whether it's from a TELUS company (TELUS or Koodo or formerly PC Mobile) or one of the other many carriers.
All information about porting is found here - please read and follow which applies to your situation:
