Hello,
I live in Mexico half the year, so have always had to have a Mexican SIM card for when I’m here. Now that Public Mobile works in Mexico, I’ve switched back but don’t want to lose my Mexican number. Can I switch my physical Public Mobile SIM to an eSIM (keeping my number) and keep my physical Mexican SIM in my phone and use both at the same time?

yes, you can, and this can be done easily
To switcd to eSIM , first, download the app on your new phone. Click Account from the bottom, then click Purchase SIM Card and select eSIM.
Once it confirms your phone is eSIM compatible, click Pay $ and Install and follow the steps to complete the eSim setup
