@Tonygl, if you are transferring in an existing number from another company you will need to leave the old SIM card in your phone until you have received a text message from your old company confirming that you want to port out your number. When you get this message you will have 90 minutes to respond "YES". After that, you can remove the old SIM card and install the Public Mobile SIM card into your phone. Test every 15 minutes or so to see if you can call your number from another phone. When your phone starts to ring the porting process is likely done. At that point you should test calling out, sending text out and receiving and test your data. It usually take 1 to 2 hours for the whole process to be completed.

hi @Tonygl
did you request porting the number?
But first put in the PM sim card first. Test if it connects, if you can make outbound calls. Check if data works
finally check if you receive inbound calls
