I have my first Public Mobile SIM Card. I want to: activate my SIM Card, transfer my Telus landline number to the Public Mobile plan / account. Is there anyone who can help me?

I didn’t think about it when I cancelled with the old carrier with my old number.
I thought that was the process back then.
Just a rookie back then…live and learn.

@BKNS27 I know you are not the original poster but I do have a question. How did you expect to port a number that you no longer own?

Since it takes up to one week to get a landline ported over, it might be a good idea to activate a PM account first with a temporary PM phone number. The via your self service account, you can port your landline over.

This way, at least you will have temporarily mobile service as the port is completed.

Please note that your landline account must be Active and porting landline may take up to a week to complete.
I made the mistake and cancelled my landline account first and couldn’t port my old number over which I had forever so I had to pick a new number.😭

Please proceed to athe Activate link at the top of the Public Mobile homepage/website. The activation site will guide you thorugh the processing of transferring your phone number. Be sure to include the correct address on file of your landline and the name on the account on the number porting form.
