If you only RECENTLY activated and did so in-store, another possibility (though i don't believe this is your case) is perhaps your self-service account has never been created?
If so, click here to create a self-serve account

You need to contact a PM CS Agent by clicking on the SIMon chat button and type in Create a Ticket then follow the prompts.
You will need to supply your number, your security PIN, account number etc.

If you're just trying to make a payment with on-file credit card...just dial 611, but you will need your pin.
You can get payment vouchers at Shell Gas stations then dial 611 to add them...you won't need a pin for that process.

@sonialorenz2014 try to look for the Welcome emai as suggested above. Or you will have to try Forgot Password link, enter the correct email and answer the security question.
if still fails, you will have to use Chabot to open ticket with PM to sort out.
follow this to get to the ticket open page quicker

After ticket is submitted, make sure to check your Community Inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically for response from PM's CS Agent

If your account is locked, wait about an hour and try again using different browser or incognito mode.
If you still have issue logging in, try the Forgot password link to reset the password. You will need to answer security questions, though.
If you don't know the answer to the security questions, you can open a ticket with CSA to have it reset.

As noted by @hairbag1, once you login to your Self Serve account and under your name, logout button. The account number is shown.

@sonialorenz2014 : If you still have the welcome email from here from when you activated then the account number is embedded in the To:. You might need to look at headers or source to see it.
