Hey, my previous phone was stolen in a domestic violence incident and I had to use a temporary SIM card in my old phone. I know have a new phone, but it won't transfer the prior eSIM number for the iCloud transfer and I would like to restore my original eSIM without incurring additional charges. Are you able to assist me in the process since I'm an existing customer?

hi @RippyMode
you cannot reinstall old esim. You have to buy a new one but PM will reimburse you
What you need to do is to download the PM app on the new phone, login to the app, go to Account page and choose Buy sim card and select eSIM.
the system might still charge you the $5. Pay and install the esim first.
After the new esim is installed, submit a ticket with PM agent and for reimbursement. You can submit ticket with CS Agent using this Chatbot link: https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html Type the question "Submit ticket", Then click the following in order: "Contact Us" , "Other", "Log In".
If any issue with ticket submission, you can submit by direct message:

eSIM cannot be moved. BUT Luckily, you can get a replacement for FREE
To rebuy new eSIM for FREE, first, download the app on your new phone and login. If you have problem with receiving 2FA code, click "Didn't Receive code" or "Resend code" and choose either Send email or Send voice message
Once logged in, Click Account from the bottom, then click Purchase SIM Card and select eSIM.
Once it confirms your phone is eSIM compatible, click Pay $ and Install (the system will check and apply a $5 credit to bring the total price back to $0 at checkout), and follow the prompt to complete and purchase and install eSIM on your device
(in rare case that PM charges you for the replacement esim, you can submit a ticket with PM support and ask them for reimbursement)

Existing eSIM users at Public Mobile who need a replacement can do so at no extra cost. When you request a new eSIM through the usual process, we automatically identify you as an existing eSIM user and waive the replacement fee. See below for steps on how to get your new eSIM.
