6 days now and my number has not ported over from Bell. I still get unregistered SIM card. Help! Anyone know what to do?

@CBarkhouse did you get your S6 unlocked by Bell? If you purchased it from them (prior to Dec 2017) it would have been locked to their network at the time of purchase. Even if you purchased it unlocked from Samsung/Amazon, some Samsung models auto-lock to the network of the first SIM that is inserted into them.

A message of unregistierd sim card almost always means that your sim card isn't active. This means would mean that there was probably a problem with the account setup itself. If that's the case, there's nothing that you can do from your end or with the phone's settings that could possibly fix something like this. Unregisitered sim card is a message that shows up on some phones if you insert a sim card that was never activated or one that was used before but no longer has a service attached to it.

I realize this doesn't help you. But my parents had their landline ported recently and it took 2 business days. It was rejected the first time because the previous company abbreviated Crescent to Cres and did not recognize those both being the same thing. Redoing the port request fixed the issue. I wonder if that happened to you. With that said, during the porting time they were able to call out on the cell, but all incoming went to the landline. The fact your SIM is showing unregistered I wonder if the SIM itself is bad or if you typed the number of the SIM wrong when registering it to your PM account. Check to see if the SIM ID matches.

@CBarkhouse, if your set up involved a number port from Bell, the Bell service should continue to work at this moment since this service is not working. Please give the old service a test. Was the number port submited at the time of activation? If so, an incomplete port would affect this service. Regardless, 3 days without proper turnaround from the moderator team is suspiciously long. Make sure the message has been sent to the right place.

are you able to try the sim in a different phone?

Galaxy S6. I'll have to wait until someone gets back to me.

Maybe you have some leftover Bell network settings. Maybe you could try resetting them?
Also what type of phone are you using?

I would reply to the last message from teh mod you received and ask them for an update.

I found it but I get the message, "Unable to connect. Try later.' It's been with a moderator for 3 days now with no reply.

hey just a question is your phone possibly blacklisted ? i recall that being an issue with unregisterd sim messages.
go to https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-started and enter the IMEI of your phone? It will show if the phone has been declared lost/stolen.
check out this thread: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/unregistered-sim/m-p/132110
mods however are are the only ones that deal with incomplete ports.
How can you get help with your account, activation, or service?
In your message please include:

You can try the following steps:
-Go into your phone's settings and under Cellular Settings, manually choose Public Mobile as your Network operator
-Reboot your phone
-Power off your phone and remove your SIM. Re-insert and power on.
If that doesn't work, you can send a private message to a Moderator_Team and ask them to look at your account.
