5G plan not 5G speed in Umidigi G95G phone

I join $35 60G 5G plan... And I use Umidigi G95G phone.... Don't know why I only connect LTE for data.... But when I insert the PM sim to my old LG 5g phone.. it show 5G network.... So anybody know why I can't reach 5G in Umidigi G95G phone ?

@SSYL   If the phone doesn't have the right bands there isn't much you can do but on a 5G plan you are limited to 250 Mbps regardless of whether your phone is on LTE or 5G.  My iPhone is set to 5G, only gets LTE at my house because the 5G signal is not as strong for passing through house walls, but I still get close to 200Mbps download speed at times.  If you were on a 4G plan you would be capped at 100 Mbps regardless.  Have you done a speed test?

Changing APN settings cannot make data for a specific network type such as the 5G network.

@SSYL   There was another post from someone with this phone saying they could not get 5G on it.  The theory was that it may only have one band that Public Mobile uses for 5G and that in their area LTE was the stronger signal.  Do you see a setting for 5G or is it that you just don't see 5G at the top of the phone?   Even so, LTE can be as fast, or almost as fast, as 5G so you should still get good speeds.

Check the preferred network settings and make sure that it is set to 5G (recommended).

Also, reset the network connections and reboot/ restart your phone. Hopefully that will solve your problem. 

Another possible explanation is that your Umidigi internal radio antenna picks up the signal differently from the other LG phone.  Use an app like Tower locator to find the location of your nearest 5G Tower. Try driving closer to the tower and see if your phone picks up the 5G signal better.

Finally, you could contact a customer agent at public mobile and see if they can reset the network on their end to improve your connection.
